The Court deals in these cases with similar issues from two Dutch courts relating to the protection of personal data. In both cases, the questions concern the interpretation of Directive 95/46/EC (EP and EU Council Dir. 95/46/EC, 24 Oct 1995: OJEC n° L 281, 23 Nov. 1995, p. 31) and articles 8 and 41 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
